Matthew Douglas Mosley, son of the late Hullet and Izola Mosley, was born January 4, 1952, in Panola County, MS.
Matthew was educated in the public schools of Panola County. He began his employment journey at Emerson Electric in the early 70's but unfortunately his career was cut short due to medical issues that forced him to retire. Yes, he was different, but that is what made him unique and loved by his family. He will truly be missed by those who loved him most.
Matthew transitioned peacefully at home among family Friday, October 21, 2022, at 02:35 AM.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Mareatha (Alonzo) Cannon of Chapin, SC , Dianna Henry of Oxford, MS, and Barketta Mosley (Densel Bickley) of Irmo, SC; 10 brothers, Willie Hue Mosley of Menifee, CA, Willie Lee (Dian) Mosley of Madison, WI, Thomas Earl (Jean) Fondren of Memphis TN, Hugh Byron (Ruby) Mosley of Abbeville, MS, Herbert (Parthenia) Mitchell of Southaven, MS, Larry (Betty) Mosley of Austin TX, Earnest (Judy) Mosley of Poteet, TX, James Mosley of Batesville, MS, Lyndon (Cora) Mosley of Batesville, MS, Fredrick (Debra) Mosley of Batesville, MS; seven sisters, Gwendolyn Adams of Plano TX, Sylvia Mosley of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn Johnson of Waycross GA, Deloris (Jackie) Williams of Abbeville, MS, Jackie (Leon) Robinson of Sardis, M; step sisters, Lena Washington of Oxford, MS, and Doris Doyle; 8 grandchildren, Devin Scurry, Kurt Davis both of Chapin, SC Charles (Jaliyah) Mosley, of Columbia, SC, Zachary Bickley, Boykin Bickley, and Bryson Bickley all of Irmo SC, De'Quard Henry and Megan Henry both of Oxford, MS, 2 great grandchildren, Charlee Julianna Mosley and Kurt Davis Jr. both of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hullet Mosley, mother, Izola Mosley, bonus mother, Tama Mosley and sisters, Joyce Diane Mosley and Doris Doyle.
