Melissa Ann Luster Prillerman was born March 24, 1975, in Oxford, Mississippi, to Mary Luster and Eddie Dukes.
Melissa, affectionately known as Lissa, had an infectious smile and spirit. She loved reading, learning new things, and watching sports. Melissa had a strong faith in Christ, a warrior’s determination, and zeal for life. She unselfishly loved her family and her family loved her.
Preceding her in death are her, maternal grandfather Ernest Luster; maternal great-grandparents Jessie and Ruthie Jane Herron; paternal great-grandparents John “Bo” and Rosie Dukes.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Egypt “baby girl” Prillerman; her mother, Mary Luster Johnson; step-father, Fred Johnson, all of Oxford, MS; father, Eddie Dukes of Tupelo, MS; sister, Carla Luster of Wylie, TX; brother, Marrico Johnson of Oxford, MS; two step-brothers, Xavier Johnson (Audrey) of Bakersfield, CA; Vincent Johnson (Tonoher) of Manhattan, KS; step-sister, Shannon Washington (Marquez) of Olive Branch, MS; a special, favorite niece and nephew, Kayla Hamilton and Jacob Russ both of Wylie, TX; grandmother, Dorothy Luster of Oxford, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family.
