Michael Wright, son of James Wright and the late Betty Daniels, was born July 17, 1986 in Clarksdale, MS.
“Tuddy Wuddy,” as he was affectionately called by his family in the south or “Chewy” by his family in the north, accepted Christ and was baptized at Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member until his death.
As a child, Michael attended Oakdale Elementary and Iroquois Middle Schools in Grand Rapids, MI.
Michael was a proud father of his twin girls, MaKhialah and Za’Niyah, and loved to spend time with them. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and traveling. Michael was never afraid to try to new things. His family often to referred to him as a philanthropist because he loved to help others.
On December 1, 2021, Michael passed away in Alpine Township, MI. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, MaKhialah and Za’Niyah Wright of Grand Rapids, MI; father, James Wright of Batesville, MS; sisters, Michelle Wright Barker (Robert) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jessica Rice Mays (John) of Senatobia, MS, and Mildred Brassell (Quincy) of Courtland, MS; nieces, Azarie’ Anna Wright, MaKayla Barker, and MyKeria Brassell; nephews, Elijah Wright, Keshaun Wright, Raequan Wright, Robert Barker, Jr., Jamaras Jefferson, Isaiah Reece, Glentrell Reece, and Quincy Stewart; great nephew, Jha’Mari Jefferson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Daniels.
