Minnie Ree Malone Berry was born January 25, 1946 to the late Bobby and Cora Reynolds Malone. At a young age, Minnie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Jeffrie Missionary Baptist Church, Abbeville, MS. Minnie Ree, a lifelong dedicated member, sang in the choir, ushered, and sat on the Mother’s Board until she became ill this year.
Minnie married Herman Berry of Abbeville, Mississippi. She was the mother of two talented sons. She was known for her wittiness and kindness. A ‘Pilar’ in both her family and community; you could always find “Aunt Minnie Ree” helping, feeding, sheltering, cooking, advising, loving, and lending a hand to those in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to gospel music, shopping - at Walmart, and most of all - spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.
On July 17, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford MS. Minnie left this earth and received her wings to fly away and be at rest. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, and her son Keith D. Berry.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Anthony (LaTonya) Berry, of Southaven, MS; her brothers Burley (Mildred) Malone and Sulic Malone both of Abbeville, MS; her sisters, Nettie Gordon of Abbeville, MS; Lorine (Earl) Marion of Waterford, MS; her grandchildren, Cortez Harris, Shauntrel Berry, Kimberly Gipson, Lexi Egerson, Justin Gipson, Kiana Berry, Matthew Berry, Channing Berry, Jalen Butler, Makayla Berry; 10 great-grandchildren; two daughter-laws; Talisha Berry and Tabitha Berry; two special nieces Ella Ree Russell, La Kayla “Ray Ray” Howell, a special nephew Travis Blake, a special friend Shirley Pegues and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
