Murray Sisk, Jr

Murray Sisk, Jr was born on November 18, 1953, to the late Elmurray Sisk and Bernice McEwen Sisk, in Oxford, Mississippi. Murray was affectionately known as "Jr". He confessed a believe in Christ at early age and became a member of North Hopewell  M.B. Church in Taylor MS.

Murray attend Oxford High School and was a graduate  of the class of 1973. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1975 and served  in Berlin, Germany and Ft. Campbell, KY. Murray was honorably discharged in 1979 with the rank of SGT. He was employed at Georgia Pacific Corporation  and Roseburg Plant in Oxford, Mississippi. His favorite past time was traveling.

Murray was married to Mary 'Tina" (Jones) Sisk and to this union three daughters were born, Tashara Jones, Toinetta Sisk and Tish Sisk. He later united in matrimony to Elizabeth Tallie Jones and they remained together for 24 years before the Lord saw fit to call him home. 

Murray departed this life on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Miss in Oxford, Mississippi. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife:  Elizabeth Sisk of Oxford, Mississippi; three daughters: Tashara Jones and Tish Sisk both of Oxford, and Tonetta (Tracy) Green of Blue Springs, MS; Step children: Bobby Jones of San Antonio TX, Jessie Jones, Teresa Jones and Tracy (Lee) Young all of Oxford MS; his brothers: Thomas (Anna) Sisk of Batesville MS, Willie Lee (Katherine) Sisk, Jerry Sisk and Greg Sisk all of Oxford MS; his sisters: Bonnie (Anthony) Brown, Joanna Henderson and Kay Blake, all of Oxford MS;  his grandchildren: Montiyana Sisk, Deontae Jones, Katavia Sisk, Kyreike Sisk, Kaliyaha, Trinity, Autumn, and Isaiah Sisk, and Angel Sisk. one uncle: Tommy McEwen; He also leaves his in-laws: Sharron Stone, Charita Stone, Patricia Fuller, Nancy (Robert)  Chatman, Essie Horton, Edna Faye Tallie, Sandra Brassell, Edna Kay Phillips, Merry Flowers,  Annie B. Tallie, Lovely Fuller, Calvin Tallie and O.P. Tallie.

Murray is preceded in death by his parents: Elmurray and Bernice Sisk; his grandparents: Winnie and Pricinne (Toles) McEwen; sister: Lottie Frances Sisk; aunts: Macine Booker, Louise Washington, Pearlie Jones, Rosie Jones and Louise Booker; brothers-n-law: Eddie Frank Blake and Glenn Henderson; uncles: Jake Ivy, Floyd Ivy and George McEwen.
