Narvin L. Hilliarad

Narvin L.  Hilliard, the second of nine children born to the late Harvey Tom and Velma (Duff) Hilliard, was born in Lafayette County Mississippi on October 8, 1928, and accepted Christ at an early age.  He and his wife, Delores joined Second Missionary Baptist Church when they relocated to Oxford and he remained a member there until his death.

Narvin was married to Delores "Ree" Pearson for sixty-three years when she passed away in 2012.  To this union, two sons were born. One son, Kelvin, Sr., preceded him in death. He was also a United Stated Veteran.

Narvin went peacefully to sleep on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Hillview Health Care in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He was 91 years old.

Narvin is survived by sisters – Laverne Foster and Elizabeth “Coot” Perry; brother – Cloray Hilliard; son – Darren Hilliard; grandchildren - Kelvin Jr. (Claudia) Hilliard, Felica (Tyrone) Harris and (Elizabeth Davis), seven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, with a host of other relatives and friends.

Narvin is preceded in death by his wife, Delores “Ree” Hilliard and his son, Kelvin Hilliard Sr.
