Niambi W. Payne

Niambi Wambui Payne was born August 12, 1972 to Dr. James F. Payne and the late Madelyn J. Brown Payne in Los Angeles, CA.

Niambi's family moved to Oxford, MS in 1990 and she was a graduate of Oxford High School's class of 1991. After high school, she furthered her education and received a degree in nursing. She also studied Liberal Arts - Nursing at the University of Mississippi. Niambi was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Alliance Healthcare System Hospital in Holly Springs, MS. 

She was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Alfred L. Hall II. In her spare time, she loved to watch the Raiders play, travel, fish, and listen to music.

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, Niambi passed away. She will sincerely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her father, Dr. James F. Payne of Oxford, MS and sister, Detra Payne of Evanston, IL, other relatives, close friends, church members, and co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
