Obituary

Orlando Laurenzo Donnell Ramsey was born August 21, 2003, in Oxford, MS to Orlando Ramsey and the late Angela L. “Pumpkin” Smith.

Orlando was such a joy to be around and loved life. He loved to smile, watch cartoons, and listen to music. You could surely get a smile from him when you gave him balloons and stickers. He also loved for people to talk to him.

On Saturday morning, April 30, 2022, Orlando peacefully passed away at his home. He will forever be missed by and loved by his grandmother and guardian, Essie L. Smith; father, Orlando Ramsey (Sharia); siblings, Angel and Vanya Ramsey, Melvin Savage, Jr.; bonus dad, Melvin Savage, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Theresa Ramsey of Oxford, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Orlando was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Angela Smith.

Please note
Yes, we are still adhering to the restrictions for graveside services and social distancing. And we thank you for your cooperation. Please, due to the Covid-19 Virus that has disrupted the lives of all of us, especially the families that are having to cope with a new way of grieving and saying goodbye to their loved one, and a new and different way for us, the funeral director serving them, I ask that you please be respectful and keep the graveside service limited to city, county, state, and CDC guidelines. We are working hard to ensure that this transition is as easy as possible for the family. ** MASKS ARE REQUIRED**
