Patricia Bynum Obituary

***THERE WILL BE NO LIVE STREAM

Patricia Bynum, daughter of the late Will Smith and Lena Mae Smith, was born on July 21, 1965, in Lafayette County Mississippi. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Union Hill MB Church in Oxford, Mississippi, where she remained an active member until her passing

Patricia was a 1983 graduate of Oxford High School.  She went on to further her education at Northwest Community College in Oxford, where she graduated with an Associate's Degree in Nursing.  She then landed the job she always wanted with Baptist Memorial Hospital, where she excelled with 20+ years of dedication.  Patricia enjoyed reading her bible, listening to music, laughing and smiling wherever she went. She loved telling her children what to do. She loved being outside in the sun! And she loved spending time with her family.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the early hours of the morning, Patricia went home to be with the Lord.

She leaves wonderful memories of her life to be cherished with her loving husband: Wayne Bynum of Oxford, Mississippi; two devoted daughters: Asanta Hilliard (Andrew) of Southaven, Mississippi and Katya Driver of Oxford, Mississippi; her son: Fredrick Bynum (Jasmine) of Memphis, Tennessee;  five sisters: Betty Brown, Jerlean (Warren) Bruce, Dorothy (Eddie) Key and Faye Bell, all of Oxford, and Earnestine Ward of North Carolina; two brothers: Willie Smith, Jr., and Robert Lee Smith, both of Oxford, Mississippi. Patricia also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents: Will Smith and Lena Mae Smith; sisters: Minnie Swinney and Pauline Smith, and brother: Henry Earl Smith.

Please keep the Bynum/Smith family in your prayers.
