Paulette Ann Rowan was born in Sardis,MS on February 22, 1957 to the late Franklin and Norma Parnell Rowan. She was reared by her father and second mother, Deola Rowan.
She received her education from South Panola school district and graduated in the class of 1976. Paulette accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Deliverance Tabernacle Church in Batesville, MS. She later moved her membership to Second Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, MS under the leadership of Dr. Leroy Wadlington and current pastor, Andrew Robinson, Sr. She remained a very faithful and active member until her death.
At Second Baptist, Paulette served on several boards and committees including President of the Usher Board, Pastorial Aide Committee, Missionary Board, and Prayer Powerhouse. She also served as a past President of the Usher Board for the Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association.
Paulette attended Northwest Mississippi Community College and received an associate degree in Healthcare Administration. She was employed by the North Mississippi Regional Center as a Cottage Supervisor and after 25 years of employment, she retired. While at NMRC, she met and married the love of her life, David McIntosh.
In her spare time, Paulette enjoyed working word search puzzles, shopping, talking on the phone with her sisters and friends, watching Gun Smoke and her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives.
On Thursday, December 30, 2021, Paulette exchanged her earthly life for an everlasting life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband of 34 years, David McIntosh of Oxford, MS; mother, Deola Rowan of Lakeland, TN; sisters, Dora Tillman of Cordova, TN and Dr. Beverly Tillman of Lakeland, TN; sisters-in-law, Linda Rowan of Arlington, TN, Doyleen Jones of Memphis, TN, Annie Smith and Tracey Williams both of Oxford, MS; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Wilkins of Holly Springs, MS, Guy McIntosh of Tupelo, MS, and Robert Garner of Oxford, MS; close friends, Pearl Owens of Abbeville, MS, Alice Carothers and Minnie Jones both of Oxford, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Paulette was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Frank and James and one sister, Deborah.
