Ray Anthony Hudson was born in Oxford, MS on May 15, 1971, to William C. Hudson and Earlene Gilliam Hudson. He departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-NM in Oxford, MS.
Ray joined East St. Peter M.B. Church at an early age. He received his formal education in the Oxford City School District.
Ray was a hard worker. He loved fishing and barbecuing, and he loved to dress nicely. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He called his mother every morning and every evening and took breakfast to her every day.
Ray was a hard worker. He had a lawn service and he took pride in his work. He will truly be missed by his family.
To cherish his memories, he leaves his children, two daughters: Kierra Hudson and LaTreece Hudson, both of Water Valley, MS; four sons: Ray Mitchell, Travis Key, Nicholas Key, and Jeremy Key, all of Oxford, MS; children he raised as his own: Jakori Thomas and William Barr, both of Water Valley, MS; ex-wife: LaTesie Hudson, Water Valley, MS; his mother: Earlene Hudson, Oxford, MS; his father: William C. Hudson, Oxford, MS; eight sisters: Mitred Hudson, Florence, AL; Lora Cook, Gloria Hudson, Jackie Hardin, LaShunda (Bobby) Hervey, Shell Goliday , Renee Goliday and Casandra Goliday, all of Oxford, MS; four brothers: Deary (Bernadette) Hudson, Houston, TX, Carl (Gwen) Gilliam, Lynn Gilliam and Greg Hudson, all of Oxford, MS; bonus children: Tasha Mitchell, Oxford, MS and Terrence Mitchell, Senatobia, MS: five grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends, and a special friend, Darlene Mitchell, Oxford, MS,
