Reverand Dale Brown was born May 8, 1962 in Lafayette County, MS to the late Doris and Nina Egerson Brown.
R.D., as he was affectionately called, accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Hope M. B. Church. Later in life, he began fellowshipping at Joint-Heirs with Christ Apostolic Church with his wife, Louvertis. He received his education from Lafayette County Schools.
R.D. was a self-employed construction worker for many years. His employment journey included Rockette Logging Company, Barney Martin’s Painting Company and Melvin Houston’s Painting Company.
He loved his family, prayer time and playing basketball with his nieces and nephews and singing the blues. He had a special love for listening to and singing gospel music.
On Friday, March 5, 2021, R.D. peacefully departed his earthly life at Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis TN.
He leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers, Jerry (Vada) Brown of Abbeville, MS and Rodrick Brown, of Southaven, MS; five sisters, Lottie (Dilshaad) Ali of Kihei, HI, Doris Johnson, Willie King, Zina Brown, all of Taylor, MS and Rosemary (Jason) Neal, of Coffeeville, MS; grandmother Mildred Egerson of Taylor, MS; five step-children; grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ira Dell Brown of Oxford, MS; one uncle, seven aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
R.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Nina Brown; wife, Louvertis Brown and two brothers, John Howard and Edward Earl Brown.
