Robert Gross, Jr. was born January 28th, 1963, in Batesville, MS to the late Leona and Robert Gross, Sr.
He received his education from South Panola School District and graduated from South Panola High School. He furthered his education by attending Jackson State University where he played football.
Robert was united in matrimony to Wanda Rodgers on May 1, 2004.
Robert was employed by the Panola County Road Department until his health failed. He enjoyed watching wrestling and football, especially his Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fixing things and working on projects around the house. Robert found joy in spending time with his family, especially his grands. He was a well-respected man in both his community and family.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Robert passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He will be missed and his memories will be cherished by his loving wife of 18 years, Wanda Gross of Batesville, MS; sons, Joseph Brooks of Oxford, MS, Michael (Buffy) Gross, Demetric Gross both of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Amanda (Shelly) Williams of Little Rock, AR, Amii (Kedranna) Walker, and Conshetta Trapp both of Blackstock, SC; grandchildren, Kylie and Kalen Gross, Kamryn Gross, Michelle Gross, Jeremiah, Ashanta, Jo’Eanna, Josiah Brooks, Rivah Armstrong, Actavious Westbrook, Keion and Yazmine Trapp, Kendale Evans, and Kedranna Walker, Jr.; one great-grandchild; sister, Della Pratcher of Como, MS; brothers, Solomon Gross of Dayton, OH, James Gross and George (Patricia) Gross both of Batesville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Jermiia Scarborough; sisters, Lucinda Brisco, Faye Strong, and Nancy Gipson; and one brother, Robert Earl Gross.
