Robert Earl Johnson

Robert Earl Johnson, the first of 11 children, was born July 25, 1947, to the late Bernard and Floredie Berry Johnson.

Robert received his education from Oxford City Schools. He was a hard-working man and found peace driving trucks. He travelled near and far and eventually relocated to Winter Haven, FL. He resided there until his health began to fail.

On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS, God called His child home.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Brenda (Kevin) Townsend of Horn Lake, MS, James Johnson of Winona, MS, Dennis (Felicia) Harris of Grenada, MS, Leroy (Samantha) Johnson of Chicago, IL and Mary Johnson of Winter Haven, FL; stepchildren, Gregory Johnson, Fredrick (Lena) Johnson both of IN, and Shelia (Willie) Forrest of Winona, MS; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Flora (Roderick) Woods, Alice (Leander) Goldman both of Oxford, MS, Dorothy Clay, Patricia (Floyd) Ellie, Bernice Flowers all of Grenada, MS, and Clarence (Annice) Johnson of Holly Springs, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one stepdaughter, Freda Jones, three brothers, Jimmy, Aubrey, and Benny Johnson and one sister, Betty Harris.
