Mrs. Robessie Farmer, daughter of the late Beebe and Vivian Benton Young, was born September 22, 1937, in Abbeville Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Smith Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she served faithfully after her return home to Mississippi.. She served on the Stewardess Board, Trustee Board, Missionary Society, she loved Bible Study and Sunday School.
Mother Farmer graduated from Oxford Training School in 1955 and furthered her college education at Alcorn State College (currently Alcorn University).
Mother Farmer united in matrimony to Bradford Farmer on March 8, 1957. They spent 43 years in New York, and they were married for 62 years. They were the proud parents of five children. Her only son, preceded her in death. Mother Farmer loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the elite "GRANDMA CLUB." A group of four, seasoned grandmothers who got together for regular outing.
On Monday, March 2, 2020, the Lord sent a moving chariot, driven by an angel, to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford MS, to move Mother Farmer into her new home. We find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
