Rossie Lee (Thompson) Parham

Rossie Lee Thompson Parham was born in Oxford, MS to the late Roger and Patsy Collean (Buford) Thompson on January 29, 1929. Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ at an early age and joined West Springhill Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and the Mother Board.

Rossie Lee "Mudear" as she was affectionately called by her children and grandchildren, received her education in the city school district of Oxford. She was united in matrimony to Jonas Parham and to this union twelve (12) children were born.

Mrudear loved her family, flowers, and playing the piano. She was also what we would call a fashion diva. She always elegantly, and femininely adorned from head to toe. Yes, a hat matching the outfit and shoes. And always wearing the biggest, and warmest smile you could find on anyone. She was, and is, such a beautiful woman.

On Friday, June 19, 2020, Mrs. Rossie Lee departed this life at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
