ST Jamison Obituary

Mr. ST Jamison was born December 31, 1931, to the union of Dock Jamison & Jessie Mallett Jamison in Kosciusko, MS.

He received a formal education and became a Christian at an early age. ST relocated to Oxford, MS in 1960. A few years after relocating, he united with Cypress Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Senior Deacon. He truly loved God, his church, and church family.

ST was employed as a custodian by the University of Mississippi for more than thirty years before retiring. He never met a stranger and was always eager to engage in conversations about his children. He was definitely a proud father and grandfather. In his spare time, ST enjoyed listening to gospel music, the blues, and rooting for his hometown team, the Ole Miss Rebels.

On Thursday, August 4, 2022, ST traded his earthly life for eternal life with his Lord and Savior. He was a personable person, loving and caring father who will be missed very much.

He is survived by eight children: ST Jamison Jr.(Minneapolis, MN); Willie Jamison (Abbeville, MS); Howard Jamison (Batesville, MS); Jesse Jamison (Oxford, MS); Shirley Jamison Buford (Byron Buford) Bruce, MS; Darryl Jamison (Milwaukee, WI); Gary Jamison (Oxford, MS); Sharon Jamison Martin (Bo Martin) (Oxford, MS); ten grandchildren: Sasha Buford (Tammy Buford); Darius Buford (Shanice Buford); Damian Holley; Malcolm Jamison; Ellis Jamison; MJ Jamison; Victoria Stokes; Jordan Jamison (Meagan Jamison); Inia Jamison; Xavier Martin. Seven great-grandchildren:  Viviana Stokes; Zalaria Stokes; Genesis Buford; Jahazial Buford; Monsa Buford; Adonis Buford; Sasha Amoni. He also raised four children as his own and loved them very much, Willie Redmond Jr.; Keddrick Redmond; Erek Redmond and Derek Redmond.
He was preceded in death by his first and second wives; Mrs. Uralee Thompson Jamison; Mrs. Adalean Redmond Jamison, LV Jamison (son), Charles Travis Jamison (grandson) and Martha Jamison Rogers (sister).

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
