Shalonda Datrice (Cannon) Joiner

Shalonda Joiner, daughter of Vincent and Dollie Cannon, was born September 23, 1984 in Racine, Wisconsin.

"Pooh Bear' and "Lon Lon" as she was affectionately known, confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and maintained her faith until her death.

She received her GED in 2003 and got her certification in Phlebotomy and CNA. Later "Pooh Bear / Lon Lon" was united in holy matrimony and during her marriage she became the proud mother of three beautiful daughters.

In her past time "Pooh Bear / Lon Lon" enjoyed fishing, journaling, coloring, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was employed with Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN for two years.

On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Shalonda Joiner passed away in the presence of the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughters, Shae'on (Breionna) Joiner, Houston, TX; Victoria Joiner (Braylon) Collierville, TN; and Miracle (Jalen) Petty, Oxford, MS; her granddaughters, Truu Petty and Ke'Orra Edwards; and grandson, Jalen Petty, Jr; her mother, Dollie Cannon, Water Valley, MS; her father, Vincent Cannon, Racine, WI; her sister, Charmaine Hampton (John) Glendale, AZ;  her niece, Sanaa Walker and her nephew, Trevion Booker, both of Glendale, AZ; and host of other family and friends.
