Shirley Anne Buford

Shirley Ann Buford, age 75, of Oxford, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. Born on July 17, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of Moses V. Buford and Hazel Buford. Shirley’s life was marked by quiet strength, dignity, and a deep love for family. She carried herself with grace and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Shirley was a proud graduate of Central High School and Alcorn State University, accomplishments that reflected her determination and commitment to growth. Throughout her life, she was known for her warmth, wisdom, and steady presence. She had a way of making others feel seen and valued, offering encouragement through both words and actions. Her kindness, resilience, and gentle spirit were constant sources of comfort to those around her.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Jermaine Buford, who was the pride and joy of her life. Shirley’s legacy lives on through the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the strength she instilled in those closest to her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her unwavering love, compassionate heart, and the light she brought into the lives of others.
