Thomas Earl Williams

Thomas Earl Williams, the youngest child of the late Charlie and Ollie Williams, was born July 21, 1962, in Lafayette County, MS.

Reared in a Christian home, he professed a hope in Christ at a young age and was baptized at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William Kelly. He remained a member until his death. When he attended church, Thomas would always praise God to the fullest. He loved going to church.

“Tom Cat,” as he was affectionately called, loved to laugh and smile and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed dancing.

On Sunday, August 21, 2022, Thomas passed away at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford, MS. Left to cherish his memories are his siblings Jessie (Brenda) Williams, Annie Stewart both of Oxford, MS, Alvin Williams of Norfolk, VA, Floyd (Shirley) Williams of Manassas, VA, James E. Williams of Sacramento, CA, Jessie Williams, Charlie Williams, Ernestine Williams all of Memphis, TN, and Ora Patten of Flint, MI; brother-in-law, Linzie Wells; sisters-in-law, Sharon Williams,  Christine Williams, and Mary Williams; special nieces, Denise Williams and Annie Coleman both of Oxford, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Willie Williams, Sr., Lillie Bonds, Dorothy Wells, M.C. Williams, Charles Williams, Selma Williams, Sam Williams, and Joe Williams.
