Venturious "Baby Brother" Smith was born on May 10, 1952, to Bennie and Lovie Smith in Etta, Mississippi. He departed this life on May 14, 2026 in Union County, Mississippi. Venturious joined Bethlehem C.M.E. Church as a child and remained a member until his death.
Venturious was a 1971 graduate of Lafayette County High School, a 1973 graduate of Coahoma Community College and received his B.S. Degree in Social Work from Rust College.
Venturious worked in the Union County School District as a social worker and in the Furniture Manufacturing industry and at Lowe's Building Materials.
Venturious leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Ila (Hubert) Foster of Marks, MS and Forestean Foster of Etta, MS; one brother, Bennie (Doris) Smith of Oxford, MS; nephews, (Daron Woods and Deltrick Foster; special nephews, because they grew up as brothers), and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Lovie Smith; one brother, David A. Holland.
