Viente Bernard Ivy, lovingly know as Ginny, was born January 8, 1978, in Oxford, MS to Vincent Nichols, Cassandra Ivy Vaughn and Fernanda Vaughn. He professed his love for Christ at an early age at Buford United Methodist Church in Oxford, MS.
He attended Oxford High School, class of 1996. He was employed with Hawkinson Kia as a Sales Consultant for several years and was starting a new career with World Hyundai of Matteson, Illinois.
Ginny loved people and life. He never met a stranger. He loved and was dedicated to his sons. Viente touched so many lives with his infectious smile and laugh. He considered himself a great chef and a master of grilling. He was quite the fisherman and enjoyed cruising on his boat
Viente was called home November 29, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons with Nicolette Redmond, Nicholas Redmond and Viente Ivy, Jr, of Chicago IL; his mom and dad, Cassandra & Fernanda Vaughn; father Vincent and Audrey Clark Nichols of Macon, MS; sisters, Sheronda, Amanda and Leslie Vaughn of Memphis, TN, Jasmine Durrah (Nicholas) of Olive Branch, MS, Brittney Nichols of Tupelo, MS; 3 brothers: Robert Nichols (O’Legan) of Oxford, LeRoy Golden (Theresa) of Memphis, TN, and Lewis Mable (Christina) of Memphis, TN; grandmother, Altha Mae “Jackie” Vaughn of Oxford, MS; uncle, Ulysses Ivy, Jr., of Oxford, MS, and a special friend, Jeanelle Nixon of Chicago, IL. Ginny also leaves a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Viente now rests with his maternal and paternal grandparents.
