Vivian A. Hill was born June 13, 1957, in Oxford, MS to Richard and Jane (Crockett) Hill. She attended Oxford High School, where she developed a love for music and became a band majorette. After high school, Vivian moved to Toledo, OH at the age of 19.
Vivian lived a life doing what she loved, which was spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and helping others. She was a faithful servant of the Lord until the end; even expressing so, by praying for the staff who cared for her in her final moments. She worked over 30 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver. Alongside her captivating smile, she always had kind uplifting words and prayers that brightened up your day.
Vivian was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (affectionately known as Gma), sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend; that LOVED her family unconditionally. She was a family-oriented woman who had a passion for fashion and DIY projects. She enjoyed praise and worship, spending time with her family, shopping, reading, writing, and singing songs. Vivian had an eye for jewelry, especially earrings, a nose for perfume, and loved to be the “hype man” while supporting family at their basketball games. She was an all-around beautiful spirit.
On Monday, February 7, 2022, with her family surrounding her, Vivian departed this life at Promedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, OH. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Jane Hill “Ma”; children, Emily (Shawn) Flanagan, Natalie (Donnie) Hayes, and Terrance Hill; grandchildren, A’Shanti (Shane) Fonseca, Jalen Lindsey, Sania Bass, T’Asia Hill, and Caleb Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Amari Hill and Zoey Fonseca; a very special friend, David Glass; sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hill; maternal grandparents, Hosea and Nannie Crockett; and paternal grandparents, R.V. and Doyle Hill.
