Willie Sulton Roger, Jr., son of Ruthie Williams and the late Willie Sulton Roger, Sr., was born November 18, 1974, in Oxford, Mississippi, Willie was affectionately known as "Skeeter" to his family and friends.
Skeeter received his formal education in the Oxford School District and even though he didn't graduate, he was so talented and skilled that he became a "Self Taught" carpenter and mechanic. It was said that Skeeter could fix or build anything with his hands. He enjoyed working and spending time with his daughters and his grandson.
Skeeter acknowledged and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in June of 2024, at Safe Harbor Ministries, and on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, the angles rejoiced when Skeeter made his transition to be with the Lord.
Willie Sulton "Skeeter" Rogers, Jr., will be dearly missed by his daughters: Linda Rogers and Erin Rogers both of Abbeville MS; his grandson: Noah Rogers of Abbeville MS; his mother: Ruthie Richards of New Albany MS; his brother: Broderick Rogers of Tupelo MS; his sisters: Shirley Pegues of Memphis TN, Konjuwa (Thomas) Hilliard of New Albany MS, Kamilah (Amun) Imhotep of Houston TX, Dennexx (Andrew) McClendon of Pensacola FL, Donquel Leavell of Columbus GA and Princilla "Darrell" Parker of Taylor MS; and a special aunt: Louise Williams of Oxford MS; he also will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, as well as his long lasting 30 year friendship with Linda King of Abbeville MS, and a very close childhood friend: Sebastian King of New Albany MS.
Skeeter was preceded in death by his daughter: Lakonjuwa Rogers; his father: Willie Sulton Rogers, Sr.; his maternal grandparents: James and Alean Williams; his paternal grandparents: Sulton Rogers and Ardelia Rogers Johnson.
