Willie Frank “Ben” Wright, Jr. was born December 10, 1945, to Willie Frank Wright, Sr. and Betty Louise Hentz Wright.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Eureka AME Zion church in Courtland, MS. He was an assistant preacher steward, president of usher board, male/sanctuary choir member and served on the finance committee. Willie worked for Stars for 52 years until his retirement. He enjoyed football, fishing and his grandkids.
Wille met and married his soulmate, Josephine Mathis, on December 24, 1972. To this union three children were born, Benson, Jamie and Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sr. and Betty Wright; son: Benson Wright; three sisters and three brothers and best friend, Daniel Bryant.
He leaves to cherish and honor his memory…Wife of 54 years, Josephine Wright; two sons; Jamie (Betty) Wright and Cleveland Wright; two adopted daughters: Alicia Wright and NeShedra Morris; 13 grandchildren: Janiyah, Jamal, Camryn, Clifton Jr, Anthony, Justin, Kaleb, TaKyra, Shayparis, Cierra, Aysha, Omaria and Gykyla; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers: James Wright and Robert (Linda) Wright of Batesville, MS; four sisters: Elizabeth Blackburn, Oretha Wright and Annie Wright of Batesville, MS and Cora Mays of Independence, MS. two brothers-in-law: Fred Mathis of Kileen, TX and Tommy Sharpe of Memphis, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Special friends: Roc Holmes, Charlie Holmes and Billy Ray Allen.
